About the Role
We currently have an exciting career opportunity available in the position of Team Leader within Civil Operations team. In this position, you will plan, coordinate and supervise the day-to-day activities of designated work teams in the Civil Operations section.
In this position, you will carry out duties in road and drainage maintenance and construction; the installation, maintenance and repair of roadside assets; and other duties, as required. The position will require a commitment to ongoing training and rotation within the Civil Operations area to develop and maintain the required skills and competencies of the position.
This position operates on a 76-hour fortnight with a Rostered Day Off once a fortnight.
Essential Criteria
- A current Class C or MR driver license
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and allocate work
- Experience in planning and coordinating day to day activities
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
- Demonstrated knowledge of minor plant and equipment used in Civil Operations
- Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White) Card
Commencing salary: $67,619.00 - $78,273.00 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation and an Adverse Working Conditions Allowance in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, in order to progress through the recruitment process.
